What happens if I get a complication?
Dr. Jugenburg and his team will treat you right away. We believe that catching any problem early, before it becomes a big problem, is the key to success. We always encourage our patients to remain in touch with us after the surgery, and Dr. Jugenburg talks to his patients on the day after the surgery to ensure that everything is well. If there is a anything that may be suspicious, Dr. Jugenburg will see you right away and initiate any treatment that may be necessary. You will always feel well cared for and comfortable. |
On the part of the surgeon, the treatment may range from simple observation (to allow your body to heal itself) to a surgical treatment (if such treatment is warranted). On your part, the most important thing is patience. There is very little you can do except follow your doctor's instructions. It is difficult, to just 'sit back and relax' when you are anxious about your result. And unless you have a medical background to understand the treatment plan, you can only blindly trust that your surgeon is doing everything possible to make you better. Therefore, one of the most important questions you need to ask yourself when choosing your surgeon: If things go wrong, can I trust this surgeon to do everything possible to make me better? |
