Breast Augmentation Considerations

    • Breast Implants:
    • Breast implants aren't lifelong devices and may need to be removed and replaced at some point. Breast implants will not prevent the breasts from sagging as a result of future pregnancy, weight gain or loss, or aging. Some women actually need to consider a breast lift in addition to breast augmentation to correct sagging breasts. It is important that you choose the right implant for your needs.

    • Breast asymmetry:
    • No person is perfectly symmetrical, and no two breasts are identical. Although most women have relative symmetry between their breasts, they often differ in volume, position, and nipple position, shape, size, and direction. For most people these differences are minimal and they don't even realize that they exist. This is largely due to the fact that they are accustomed to seeing themselves in a mirror. However, after a breast augmentation, your perspective will change because your breasts will be bigger, and you will likely notice previous overlooked differences.

    • Breast feel:
    • Breast implants will always feel like breast implants. Silicone implants feel much more natural than saline implants, but they will always feel different from natural breasts (especially in very thin women). An augmentation with fat injection can produce a 100% natural feel.
